ALEXANDRIA, VA — Krispy Kreme is offering a sweet gesture for health-care workers on the front lines of the new coronavirus battle.

On Mondays, the chain will be giving out a dozen of its original glazed doughnuts free to health-care workers, including its location in Rockville.

“Just go to a Krispy Kreme drive-thru, tell us what you need and show us your employer badge. That’s it,” the company said in a statement. “Pick up some free dozens on the way to work for you and your colleagues, or maybe a free dozen on your way home to a family after a long shift.”
