Take The 5 Pound SnoBall Challenge At This Alexandria Business

ALEXANDRIA, VA — You may have heard of giant burger or pizza challenge, but Alexandria's Pendleton Carry Out Co. has something new: a SnoBall challenge.

The multi-concept food incubator has announced the 5 Pound SnoBall Bucket Challenge, which could earn you a free pizza and shout-out on Instagram if you finish it. That's five pounds of crushed, flavored water ice, an amount that can easily serve 10 people. If you'd prefer to share it with a group of friends, it's available for $20.

Pendleton Carry Out Co., a test market of sorts for emerging food concepts, is also introducing new menu items. Here's what they have:

• Beyond Burger: Seasoned with a house spice blend, seared on the flattop, then topped with onions, smash sauce, pickles and American cheeseon a sesame seed bun from Lyon Bakery. A vegan option is available without cheese and smash sauce.
• Fish Platter: Crispy flounder, with house seasoned fries served with slaw and pickle.
• Fish Sandwich: Crispy flounder, served on a sesame seed bun with onion, pickles and slaw.
• SnoBalls: Crushed, flavored water ice
  • Watermelon cucumber with watermelon candy
  • Lemon-lime jalapeño
  • Candyland with lemon lime, orange, grape and cherry, nerds, sour worms, chopped jolly ranchers and gummy bears
  • Poppy’s: cherry and lemon lime with pop rocks
  • Cherry cola
  • Cold brew
