RESTON, VA — A proposed $50 million condominium building in Reston has been rejected by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, according to a report.

The Washington Business Journal reported that the Board voted 9-0 last week to deny an application for a 13-story tower with 58 condos.

The Board reportedly rejected developer Norton Scott's proposal because it has bigger plans for the plot of land just north of Reston Town Center.

The county wants to redevelop 47 acres of land between New Dominion Parkway to Baron Cameron Avenue, and they are worried that Norton Scott's 0.84-acre project would jeopardize that.
