The 2024 Liberty Amendments Month started on June 15 and wraps up on July 15. The month-long celebration focuses on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 19th Amendments, which granted rights to people who were previously excluded from the U.S. Constitution. Town Manager Mercury Payton had the idea of starting Liberty Amendments Month in 2021 as Juneteenth became a Virginia state holiday.

A few of the other major events during Liberty Amendments Month were Juneteenth Celebration at First Baptist Church on June 15, Naturalization Ceremony on June 29 and Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks on July 2.
