GREENFIELD, WI — A two-story salon suite business called Avery and Birch has been proposed for a mostly undeveloped lot near Armour Avenue and S. 108th Street in Greenfield.

The Greenfield Plan Commission is set to discuss the proposal at its meeting Tuesday. The applicant would purchase the approximately four-acre lot to construct a building with over 30 suites for independent stylists.

City documents show the business would be an "upscale boutique facility and every unit will have a large window allowing natural sunlight into the suites. The center of the building will be held as a communal lounge featuring a coffee, beer and wine bar with off-site prepared pastries and snacks."

Ryan and Jennifer Janssen would own the facility and Delanie Ford would operate it, city documents said. A public hearing is not necessary for the business because the proposed use already falls within the plot's current zoning codes.

An architectural plan submitted to the city said the 12,000 square foot building would take after modern design.

An entrance leading to the business' parking lot would be constructed off of 110th Street — soon to be renamed W. Sunset Lane, city documents said.

Further discussion and possible approvals are slated for the Nov. 16 Common Council meeting.

More information about the proposal is available online in the Plan Commission Agenda.
