GREENFIELD, WI — The City of Greenfield Plan Commission is scheduled to hear more about a diverse range of proposals at its meeting on Tuesday: A condominium project is being revived, a single-family home development has been proposed, and two businesses might be relocating, according to the commission's online agenda.

Kings Family Dentistry has applied to relocate to a different location in Greenfield, and Happy Endings No Kill Cat Shelter has proposed relocating from its Milwaukee location to Greenfield.

A project that would bring 16 condos to the area of South 123 Street and Waterford Avenue has also been revived, and a single-family development has been proposed that would split an existing parcel located southeast of Greenfield Middle School into nine lots, meeting packet documents show.

The ranch-style condos would be constructed on a 4.28-acre plot that is currently zoned for planned unit development. A similar project was approved for the site in 2006, but work stopped in 2007 with the economic recession, and no buildings were constructed, according to plan commission documents.

Eight buildings, each containing two condos, are proposed to be constructed around the Waterford Avenue cul-de-sac or facing 124th Street, the site plan map shows.

The condos, aside from one, would each be 1593 square feet with two bedrooms, according to preliminary plans.

Parkview Estates

Raul Gonzalez, doing business as First West Realty LLC, has purchased a plot of land located near 35th Street and Barnard Avenue, plan commission documents say.

First West Realty and Pioneer Engineering and Surveying have proposed to split the 4.2-acre site into 9 different lots that can be used for single-family homes. The site is located southeast of Greenfield Middle School.

Kings Family Dentistry

The Kings Family Dentistry currently located on 6500 West Layton Avenue has acquired the Bunks & Beds property at 6121 West Layton Avenue, plan commission documents say.

The dentist's office is proposing to renovate and relocate to the new property four blocks down from its current location.

The location needs a Plan Commission recommendation and further Common Council approval of its site and architectural plans.

Happy Endings No Kill Cat Shelter

Happy Endings No Kill Cat Shelter is looking to relocate from 5349 Forest Home Avenue in Milwaukee to a location at 4925 Forest Home Avenue in Greenfield, plan commission documents say. It has submitted an offer to purchase the new property.

The non-profit has about 20 cats in residence and adopts out about 180 cats annually. Fifty volunteers help out between their extended foster community and on-site shelter operation team, which operates 24/7 because of potential emergency needs, plan commission documents said.

The non-profit says on its website that it has been saving the lives of cats since 1994.
