Those who are interested may join as a sponsor, a volunteer, or a player. The organization always welcomes those who do not choose to play to come as a spectator or volunteer, which KJF finds just as fun!

The founder of the hosting organization, Kelly Johnson, reveals her passionate energy for this tournament as she says, “Celebrating our 5th Annual Play It Forward Tennis Tournament is an amazing milestone for us. It’s been fantastic to see the event’s impact and growth over the years. The organization has been hosting various tennis and pickleball events for 10 years now, and continues to expand its reach to other sports and geographical locations as it broadens its horizons in pursuit of its mission. The Kelly Johnson Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to give back to schools and communities while encouraging individual’s goals and passions. The organization was born after Kelly discovered an opportunity to create a space for people to embrace their talents and passions and feel motivated to do so through building a sense of community and support.

The entry for each player is $45 with a maximum entry of one division per player. All proceeds go towards the Johnson Family Scholarship program. This May, KJF awarded three high school scholarships to the Class of 2024! The organization continues to appreciate the support in its mission and goals.

The Kelly Johnson Foundation is also delighted to be participating in the Recycleballs program, where we will be recycling all tennis balls after the tournament. KJF is also partnering with Second Serve, another nonprofit that donates gently used tennis gear to youth tennis players in need. There will be a box on-site to collect donations, so feel free to bring some old gear with you.
