WAUWATOSA, WI— City and health leaders celebrated the construction on 87th Street at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Campus.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday for the official opening of the newest complete street.

Complete streets are roadways that include space for all modes of transportation — including separated bike lanes, sidewalks for pedestrians, and lanes for cars and transit cars. They are different from traditional roadways because complete streets prioritize the safety and mobility of all users.
