Crash Briefly Closes Interstate 41 Southbound Near Capitol Drive

A crash Monday morning closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 41 between Watertown Plank Road and Capitol Drive, authorites said.

WAUWATOSA, WI — A crash on Interstate 41 in Wauwatosa Monday morning closed all southbound lanes between Capitol Drive and Watertown Plank Road for around an hour, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

By 11 a.m. authorities said all lanes were re-opened, though the off-ramp to Watertown Plank Road remained closed.

Authorities said the crash at first closed the two right lanes around 9:45 a.m. near the offramp to Watertown Plank Road. All southbound lanes were closed by around 10 a.m.
