Wauwatosa Ave. Set To Close In 2020 For Construction

WAUWATOSA, WI — Residents who live along a stretch of Wauwatosa Ave. will see their street get upgrades and a new surface in 2020, though the street will be closed for parts of the year.

City officials say workers are set to replace old water and sewer lines and resurfacing Wauwatosa Ave. from Garfield Ave. to Milwaukee Ave. in 2020. Additionally, workers are scheduled to replace storm sewers with larger pipes to help with stormwater management.

Also included on this project is the resurfacing of Melrose Avenue from 74th Street to Wauwatosa Ave.
