À propos de moi
Hoi everyone! I'm Debby and I'm born and raised in the Netherlands. I live near the border of Germany so my German is also pretty good. From 2005 till 2006 I lived a year in Ireland as an au pair, it was wonderful and also excellent for my English. I love meeting new people, travelling, reading books, practice yoga, paint and chat around.
I would love to teach you Dutch! I don't have experience in official teaching but I always help friends and family where I can with their languages. I've worked in a Dutch bookstore for more than 12 years and I just love reading,. It would be nice to go on an adventure together. We can talk about different subjects like art, traveling, books, news, politics, the weather ;) and everything else in between. I've been teaching on Preply for a year now and I loved every minute of it! Yes learning a language is hard work but it's also very fulfilling when you see yourself making progress. Talking, talking, talking and talking is the best way to learn a language. So I hope to talk you soon! And like I said I am not an official teacher but I can help you as much as possible with grammar and if you want we can use books that suit your level so that we can together make sure that you learn in the best way possible for you!

Debby is an amazing tutor and is very good at what she does!. Her methods are clear and concise. Her lessons are fun but at the same time serious and precise. I have learned a great deal with her and have enjoyed every lesson we had.

Debby is an amazing Dutch teacher! From the beginning, she supported me exactly where I needed it. Our lessons were always great fun and I could learn as well a lot about the people and culture of the Netherlands. Thanks to Debby, I was able to make a lot of progress during the 18 lessons which we did together so far. I cannot recommend Debby highly enough and am looking forward to future lessons!

You have to start somewhere! Together we will start in English and as we continue learning Dutch we will start speaking more Dutch and less and less English. Be confident. You can do it!
Talking, talking, talking and some more talking. That is how you practice what you have learned. You can have a good understanding of grammar and have a big vocabulary but that doesn't mean you can speak the language. So let's start talking right now!
Together learning Dutch in a comfortable and safe environment. My youngest student is 7 years old and very eager to learn Dutch. With games, music, video's, books and other materials we will learn Dutch together. I teach from 6 years on and older.
Working on your level to learn for the old A2 level exam or from 2022 on you will need B1 level.
