Punch Brothers, named after a Mark Twain short story "Punch, Brothers, Punch!" are comprised of Mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile, guitar player Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjo player Noam Pikelny, and fiddler Gabe Witcher. Rolling Stone noted that the quintet seamlessly "blend bluegrass, roots, rock, pop, jazz, and classical to create a unique, contemporary sound."
