What forms of payment do you accept?

When will I get charged for my order?

You will be charged for your order when all the items have shipped.

Do you charge sales tax?

The Cosmopolitan Shop collects applicable sales tax on purchases as required by state and local laws in the United States. When applicable, taxes are calculated at checkout (where you can see them in the Order Summary) and charged to your payment method when you place your order.

How do coupon codes or discount codes work?

Occasionally, the Cosmopolitan Shop will run promotions that allow you to enter a code at checkout in exchange for a percentage off your order. Coupon codes and discount codes apply to the price of the items in your cart only. They do not apply to taxes, shipping, or any other additional fees that may be associated with your order.

Not all coupons can be used together. During checkout, you will get a notification if multiple coupons cannot be stacked. Coupon codes or discount codes may not be applied to previous orders. Other exclusions may apply.

Shipping & Delivery

What are my shipping options?

We offer the following shipping options on most orders:

  • For orders that are $49.99 or under (before tax), customers pay $6.99 for Standard Shipping (5-7 days) and $19.99 for Expedited Shipping* (3-4 days).
  • For orders that are $50 and over (before tax), Standard Shipping (5-7 days) is FREE and Expedited Shipping* (3-4 days) is $19.99.
  • Shipping charges may vary for heavy, bulky, or oversized items that weigh over five pounds, or other specialty categories.

*Note that if you have items from multiple sellers in your cart, expedited shipping charges apply separately for each seller.

How do I track my shipment?

An estimated shipping time is available by entering your zip code on the product description page. Once your order ships,  you can check its status by clicking on the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email.

The Cosmopolitan Shop is a marketplace with multiple sellers. Some items ship directly from the sellers, so if you purchase items from more than one, your order will arrive in several packages.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Currently, the Cosmopolitan Shop does not ship internationally. All of our sellers ship to the lower 48 states, and most will also ship to Alaska and Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and military base addresses (APO FPO).

Returns

What is your return policy?

We hope you love everything you buy from the Cosmopolitan Shop, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. If you decide you need to return an item purchased from us, you have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return on eligible products. The product must be in its original condition and packaging, unused, and free from any signs of damage or wear.

Please note that the Cosmopolitan Shop is a marketplace with multiple sellers. The individual sellers determine whether an item is eligible for return.

How do I return an item?

Email Customer Support at [email protected] with the following information:

  • Name and email address used for order
  • Order date
  • Order number
  • Reason for return

We’ll email you a shipping label. (Note that customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or broken.) Please pack your return in its original box or bag, if possible, and include a copy of your packing slip to speed up the return. Print the label we emailed you, attach it to your package, and drop the package with the shipping carrier within 30 days of the original delivery date.

Can I exchange an item?

The Cosmopolitan Shop does not offer exchanges at this time. If you need to swap one item for another (for example, if you need a different size), start a return for the first item. You’ll then need to place a new order for the replacement item.

When will I get my refund?

Please allow sellers up to five business days to review the item and process the return. If the seller accepts the return, you’ll receive a refund from the Cosmopolitan Shop within two to three business days.

Is there anything I can’t return?

Digital products, such as ebooks, PDFs, apps, and streaming content, are not eligible for return. Additionally, items marked “final sale” may not be returned. Check the product description for other exclusions.

Do I need to create an account to place an order with the Cosmopolitan Shop?

You may check out as a guest with the Cosmopolitan Shop by requesting a one-time code if you don’t want to create an account.

I’m a Cosmopolitan Unlocked Member. Do I need a separate account to place an order with the Cosmopolitan Shop, or can I use that one?

You can use your Cosmo Unlocked membership account to place an order in the shop. All you need to do is log in with the same email address you use for the membership.

Where do I find my free shipping code and other discount codes if I am a Cosmo Unlocked member?

You should have received your Cosmopolitan membership free shipping code and additional discount codes via email. If you cannot locate your codes, please contact the Membership Support team at [email protected].

My email address or phone number has changed. How do I update it?

To update your email address used in the Cosmopolitan Shop, log into your existing Cosmopolitan Shop account, select Profile from the menu, and click Edit Information. You can then enter and save your new email address.

Do I have to have an email address to be able to place an order?

Yes, you need an email address to place an online order with the Cosmopolitan Shop.

How do I unsubscribe from emails?

If you do not want to receive promotional emails or online newsletters anymore, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. If you would like to update your email preferences, you can do so at the Hearst Preference Center. If you run into any trouble, please complete the form available at accessprivacy.hearstmags.com. (Please note that you cannot opt out of transactional emails, such as order confirmations and shipping notifications.)

How do I know it’s safe to shop with you?
