அகிர்வால் (Ahirwal) என்பது தெற்கு அரியானா மற்றும் வடகிழக்கு ராஜஸ்தானின் சில பகுதிகளை உள்ளடக்கிய ஒரு பகுதி ஆகும். இவை இரண்டும் இந்தியாவில் இன்றைய மாநிலங்கள் ஆகும்.[1] இந்தப் பகுதி முன்பு சிறிய வேள் பகுதியாகரேவாரி பகுதியினை மையமாகக்கொண்டு யதுவன்சி அகிர் சமூகத்தினால் முகலாயப் பேரரசு வீழ்ச்சியின்போது ஆட்சி செய்யப்பட்டது.[2]
புவியியல்
[தொகு]அகிர்வால் என்பது "அகிர்களின் நிலம்" என்று மொழிபெயர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.[3] ஜெ. ஈ. சுவார்ட்ஸ்பெர்க் இதை "நாட்டுப்புறப் பகுதி"[4] என்றும் லூசியா மிச்செலுட்டி "கலாச்சார-புவியியல் பகுதி" என்றும் விவரித்தனர். இது ராஜஸ்தானின் அல்வார், பரத்பூர் மாவட்டப் பகுதிகளையும் அரியானா மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள மகேந்திரகர், ரேவாரி, குர்கான் பகுதிகளையும் உள்ளடக்கியது.[3] தெற்கு அரியானாவில் உள்ள அகிர்வால் பகுதியில் 11 சட்டமன்றத் தொகுதிகள் மூன்று மக்களவைத் தொகுதிகளில் பரவியுள்ளன. பிவானி-மகேந்திரகர், குர்கான் மற்றும் ரோத்தக் (ஒரு பகுதி மட்டும்) பகுதியில் கணிசமான அகிர் வாக்காளர்கள் உள்ளனர்.[5]
மொழி
[தொகு]அகிர்வால் பகுதியில் பேசப்படும் முக்கிய மொழி அகிர்வதி ஆகும். இது பொதுவாக மேவதியின் பேச்சுவழக்காக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்பட்டு இராச்சசுத்தானி மொழிகளின் குழுவிற்குள் வகைப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. இம்மொழி அண்டைய மேற்கத்திய இந்தி வகைகளுடன் பொதுவான பண்புகளையும் கொண்டுள்ளது.[6] இம்மொழியுடன் நெருங்கிய தொடர்புடைய பாங்குருவும் (அரியான்வி) இந்தியும் இப்பகுதியில் பேசப்படுகின்றன.
1962ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 18 ஆம் தேதி ரெசாங் லா போரில் அகிர்வால் சேர்ந்த பல வீரர்கள் போரிட்டனர். இவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை சீனர்களைவிட அதிகமாக இருந்தது.[7][8]
