Below is an overview of the growth in the 'Big Three' in the energy and electrical transmission space: Siemens Energy, Hitachi Energy, and GE Vernova. In the past year alone, they have seen headcount increases of over 14%, 14%, and 8%, respectively. Taking Siemens Energy as an example, they plan to increase their workforce by 10,000 by 2030. The Grid Technologies division, the group’s largest revenue driver, will grow by two-thirds, with most of this growth occurring in the next two years. Attraction and retention strategies continue to be of upmost importance. However, leaders must also address the integration, onboarding, and assimilation of new talent groups while maintaining the core identity of their business. In this new phase, having dynamic and forward-thinking leadership is of critical importance for sustained growth. Our advice to clients looking to add or make changes to their senior functional or operational teams is to be proactive to stay ahead of the competition. From cabling to renewable power generation, the demand for game-changing leaders is unprecedently high - don’t hesitate to innovate!
