I herald the early arrival of Spring!
For from the alpine blue rivers of the Rhone
Comes now, Lady Collette d'Avignon
And with her arrival dost beauty arise!
Yes, people of the East,
Our long grey winter has ended!
From pen and ink, my Lady draws forth such magical artistry
That birds have flown toward the windows of delight she creates!
Her golden illumination shines so brightly
The Sun Herself has fallen in love!
My Lady's blade and song ring so across the frozen land
That snowflakes dance to hear such melodies
And through the careful warmth of her precise embroidery
We glimpse the radiant wonder of May!
