Introduction
SCA danced across my path just after college many moons ago in Calontir, but described as heavy fighting and brewing, wasn't my cup of tea. Since then I lived in Atlantia and Trimeris, but not until The East, stumbling upon a demo at an impressive cathedral with sheep in the sanctuary a couple decades later, was I made more aware of the breadth and depth of the Scadian world and subsequently sucked in.
At my first event, Bjorn's Ceilidh in Concordia (2013), I went to the kitchen to meet people (it's surprising how much you can learn in a kitchen!), asked how I could help, and was invited to peel and chop 80# of onions. We all had a good laugh when we found only 40# were actually needed! The barony's people were welcoming and easy to talk to. At feast I was shocked and very honored to be invited to sit at the head table with the baron. The food was so amazing I told everyone at work that I'd found the best restaurant in the area. A few months later I found myself at Pennsic with a 14' round pavilion and haven't looked back. I was (and remain) taken with the barony's great passion for learning and their seemingly boundless generosity.
Persona
14th Century Swiss. I love my homeland and freedom fiercely. I revel in the variety and complexity of its people, and the goods and information that pass through Switzerland contributing to making us who we are. The mountains, waters and outdoors of the Berner Oberland are my delight. I may or may not be familiar with mercenaries and may or may not have a halberd in my pantry...

In Case of Court
How would you like to be notified in case of court? Honestly? Like most people I appreciate recognition, but being made something of is, well, embarrassing. I'm just as happy blending into the woodwork. I do what I do because I enjoy it and hope to help others along the way to enjoy it too, not because I want to earn something by doing it. So, maybe talk to my service human, my beloved John fitz Thomas, who's always seemed to know me better than I do.

Where will you find me? I natively flit around, contributing behind the scenes. Since my first Pennsic when someone suggested volunteering was needed and a good way to get to know the SCA better, I've embraced that concept and rebroadcast it to all the new people I meet. You’ll find me at a variety of places at Pennsic--at gate, the watch, heraldry tent, university point, in a class, info point/lost & found, the archery range, EK, and so on. In general, I enjoy dancing, archery, cooking, nalbinding and more generally A&S, music, and learning more with and from my 30,000+ Scadian family world wide!
