Monday will be another hot day with plenty of sunshine as temperatures rise into the lower 90s.
An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Monday across metro Atlanta. Ozone levels are expected to be unhealthy for sensitive groups. Those with heart or lung disease should consider limiting time outdoors in the afternoon and evening when ozone levels are the highest.
Tuesday will be similar to Monday with lows in the 70s and highs into the 90s under a mostly sunny sky and no chance for rain.
Our rain chances return for Wednesday and Thursday with lows in the 70s and highs into the lower 90s under a partly cloudy sky. Unfortunately, rain chances won't be too high with just a slight chance expected.
Rain chances will be higher for Friday and Saturday with scattered showers and storms possible both days as lows sit in the 70s and highs rise into the 80s and 90s.
Rain chances drop slightly for Sunday with lows in the 70s and highs into the lower 90s under a partly cloudy sky with just isolated showers and storms possible.
Expect anywhere from half an inch to an inch and a half of rain to occur this next week across north Georgia with a majority of that occurring Friday and Saturday.
Potential Tropical Cyclone Five formed in the Atlantic Sunday afternoon and is forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm the next few days. It is not a threat for us right now, but we will keep you updated on the system.
