In three parts, Futurecast will interrogate the power dynamics between media and technology companies; explore how to reach audiences of the future; and illuminate the ways that new technology is changing storytelling.
Hear from renowned international scholar Kate Crawford on the industrial and political implications of artificial intelligence, followed by a panel of tech and media industry leaders – from the ABC, News Corp Australia, and Leonardo.Ai – who are addressing those changes in real time. FT Strategies, the media consulting arm of the Financial Times, will deliver its findings on the audiences of the future, before a group of successful online journalists and educators – including the founders of Science Vs. and Veritasium – talk about how they’re already connecting with huge audiences via digital platforms.
Futurecast will conclude on an interview with Kim Williams AM, the ABC’s new chair, to answer questions on the future direction of the national broadcaster.
