With so much time spent at home right now as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, talented young makeup artists are coming up with more mesmerizing looks than ever before. They find inspiration everywhere, including but not limited to television shows, celebrities, artwork, movies, and more. Most recently, a 20-year-old makeup artist by the name of Kamran MC came up with a look inspired by the famous Japanese fantasy film, Spirited Away — and it's nothing short of ingenious.

The Maryland-based artist, who goes by Kam for short, tells Allure what drove her to do such a unique look, which involves different-colored opal appliqués and a depiction of a dragon drawn down the center of her face. "I've always loved the Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki and grew up with his movies, so I wanted to bring his films to life with my makeup," she says in an email. "I want others to feel the joy and nostalgia through my creativity."

The mythical makeup look was specifically inspired by the film's main character, Haku, who is actually a dragon disguised as a human boy (hence the dragon drawn on her face). Despite the boldness of the makeup idea itself, Kam managed to make it feel almost ethereal with intricate details and soft colors like pastel green, white, and mauve.

We're not the only ones who think this look is rad, either — fans of Kam's work are leaving comments on her post like, "Omg this is my favorite movie 😍 I love this so much! You deserve more popularity!!! ❤️," and "Woah crazy talent! Absolutely beautiful 😻😻."

All this to say: Props to Kam for creating such an innovative makeup look that quite literally made our jaws drop. We definitely won't forget this one anytime soon.
