Now I'm taking a picture.

[people off camera laughing]

[laughing] Maya, help Nana with the iPad.

[people off camera laughing]

Thank you.

[gentle rhythmic music]

This is the Y2K Juicy tracksuit trend, okay?

Okay. Incredible.

Incredible.

Let's normalize wearing- Is this back?

Juicy tracksuits.

I mean, in my opinion, it never left.

Okay, good.

I mean, I fully approve.

I mean, a gorgeous woman wearing a Juicy tracksuit

and also high-heeled flip-flops it looks like-

[Amy laughing]

And giant sunglasses- Yeah, perfect.

And like a wrap-around black headband.

I mean, it's just a great all-around look.

Fully approved.

Yup, I love...

I've now lived through a couple trends

that have gone and come back, and it's exciting,

they were like old friends to come back.

This looks like the woman that I played from Mean Girls,

which definitely was- Mm-hmm, the cool mom?

Yup.

She was inspired by these kinda outfits.

And what's great about this tracksuit

is you can age into it 'cause eventually,

you can walk the mall

as an old person in this tracksuit too.

[sucking teeth] That's true,

that's true- And that's great.

That's good too.

So you can wear it your whole life.

Yeah, and it'll stretch too.

I remember, I know the elastic gives a little.

Yeah, thank God.

[laughing] Thank God.

Okay, next trend.

This is the Dr. Jart and Shake and Shot face mask.

Okay, it's the Dr. Jart Shake Shack face mask.

They're tryna get us to say somethin' dirty.

[laughing] Okay- [laughing]

Alright, let's see what this is.

Okay, so this is a- Okay, this is the blue baby.

Wait, whoa. Whoa,

it comes in a coffee cup.

No, I don't think it's that, I think it's something-

No.

No, no, no- Do we have the right thing?

We have the right thing. Okay, sorry, sorry.

You're right, you're right. There's the blue baby,

it's just a different case. There's the blue baby.

[Amy laughing]

I'm already out, I'm so sorry.

Yeah, you're mixing goop- Like, what is happening?

You're mixing up some goop.

You're mixing goop already?

Like, I'm-

And then you put the goop on the face.

I'm exhausted.

And then you wait 30 to 40 minutes!?

[Amy laughing]

That's so much time!

What's it supposed to do for 30 to 40 minutes?

Wait, you keep it on 30 to 40, or you wait before you-

Once you put it on, 30 to 40 minutes!

Wow.

Okay, now I bet it get-

And you drink the drinky out of the goopy.

Oh, and then you pull it.

And then you pull it.

Now, always, these pull-off things,

I feel like when I was a kid, I was so into them,

but in the ads, they would always come off in one piece.

Mm-hmm.

But I like that this TikTok

illustrates the real experience of taking it off,

which is piecey, rubbery.

She does look gorgeous afterwards,

but I think she was gorgeous before.

She looked gorgeous before.

But that's no offense to Dr. Jart,

I'm sure that it's great.

And actually, I love hyaluronic serum.

Offense to Dr. Jart, offense.

I don't understand the name

and I don't like the process, babe.

If there's four things I gotta do

before I put this thing on, I'm out, babe.

I'm out, [laughing] yeah.

Also, the cover is weird.

It is.

It's also a little bit like a little youth obsessiony,

I have to say, like we all wanna look like a baby.

I don't wanna look like a baby,

I'd like to look like a woman.

Ooh, you know what'd be a fun mask?

Certainly, not a blue baby.

If you put a mask on, and 30 to 40 minutes later,

you took it off and you were older looking.

Ooh!

So you could practice. Yeah.

Yeah, that'd be cool. That'd be nice.

That'd be cool, you'd be like, Okay cool, I like that.

Mm-hmm, yeah. That would be cool, yeah.

Okay, let's go to the next trend.

Alright.

Oh, this is the static hair hack.

Okay.

So this is hack, not trend.

Hack.

[Amy laughing]

Let's see what it is.

Okay, rubbing hair. Ooh.

Okay, and then- Oh, tinfoil.

Ooh, tinfoil.

Oh, you rub it on your hair. Oh,

and the static goes away.

That's cool. Hmm.

Oh, that's how it goes away.

Yeah.

Is this a problem that plagues you?

Is this a thing that is difficult in your life?

Static?

Is it the thing you fall asleep concerned about?

Yeah, I definitely spend four to five hours a day

tryin' to figure out how to get the static down in my hair.

[Maya laughing]

I have a present for you. Wait, what do you have?

Oh my God, tinfoil on a little thing.

Yeah, I think it'll fix your whole problem.

Oh my God, thank you.

Oh my God, you're welcome.

Imagine how productive you'll be.

We'll get three more books

if you could... [Amy laughing]

I can't get my writing done with my staticy hair!

[Maya laughing]

[sighing] Next trend?

You know,

I do think there's a thing that will make your life easier,

I think we can just do that.

Look at that. And then it goes-

This is the difference between Gen X-

This is the smudgy liner hack.

And Gen Z.

Okay. Okay, this person

kind of reminds me of Billie Eilish in the aesthetic,

I have to say. 100%, gorgeous.

But it's just such a gorgeous person.

They're putting on under-eyeliner and upper eyeliner,

and they are rubbing it in.

Love that.

I mean, it's just a classic.

This is a mood.

I feel like there's this thing happening right now

where we're taking classics and we're calling them trends.

Maybe that's always happened.

Good question, I don't know.

I mean, I've never been on trend.

Like it seems like as soon as I cut my hair,

everyone's going long.

Like I feel like if I know about it,

we're about a year too late.

The uncanary in the coal mine.

Yes. [laughing] Yeah.

What I do like about it too

is I tend to rub my eyes a lot.

It incorporates that into the style.

Sometimes I go to an event

and I fall asleep without taking my makeup off-

Yeah.

And I really like how I look in the morning.

Yeah.

Like, I love it. Yeah.

And so it's like

how could I figure out how to start there?

And this feels like a how-to, is that's how you start there.

I do my makeup, like an '80s soap opera actresses.

Ooh!

Where I get very heavy,

and then I go to sleep very quietly on a silk pillow

and I don't move, and I wake up and it's exactly the same.

Ugh, perfect, I love that.

This is tooth gems trend.

Tooth gems, I've heard of this-

These are the tooth gems.

Which means it's on the way out.

Yeah. Oh,

this is where the expander comes in, the tooth expander.

Ooh, you expand so you can gem.

We knew that that was a dental product.

Oh, it felt dental.

I'm not gonna put this in 'cause she has it in,

it looks disgusting to have it in.

No way.

I mean, she's absolutely drop dead gorgeous.

But if I were to take my face and put the tooth thing in it,

I feel like that's not the right idea.

I have a lot of dental trauma.

Ugh, me too!

You do?

Dental trauma.

Me too! Yes.

So I would ne'er go near this product.

I would never do anything to my teeth

without a doctor present.

100%. [laughing]

And even when there's a doctor present, I shake.

Without a doctor present and a lawyer present.

Yeah, yeah, exactly. [laughing]

Yeah.

And the idea of putting a gem on

and then someday them being like, We can never get it off.

It's there forever, it's stuck.

That's your tooth gem.

That would be really scary.

You know what,

I think what's really great about a woman in beauty,

which Maya and I both consider ourselves as,

is you know your limitations.

Mmm. You know?

And I feel like tooth gems just-

It's my limitation.

Same.

I just don't think I'm-

I don't think I'm there.

I don't think I can pull it off.

Alright, next trend.

Oh-

[Maya And Amy] This is the hot rollers trend.

Again, a thing I thought was from the '50s,

but I guess it's a trend. Same.

[Maya laughing]

And let's see what is new about this hot roller trend, okay?

Okay, let's see what the new trend is.

It looks pretty much like the old ones.

Yup.

Beautiful hair.

Beautiful hair, beautiful person.

Yup, clippies.

Classic roller set, pretty much.

I really like the way that roller curls look,

a little more than a hot iron.

Mmm.

And I think it's a little better for your hair.

And it's been hard to get your hands on these for a while.

Ooh, they're back. Like if you go to CVS,

I remember looking for them like five years ago

and you couldn't find 'em, and you could order them online

but I wasn't doing that yet.

And so maybe now that it's a trend,

maybe they'll be for sale more places and more affordable

and they'll be making them again.

Yeah.

It seems like they're back.

They're back, baby.

And you know, one thing I will say is I'm very pro,

but I would love to have some hair demonstrations

with people who don't have glorious, thick hair-

Who have like thin sort of-

Yeah.

Yeah, I would like that too actually.

I would just like someone whose hair is like... [coughing]

Yeah.

'Cause that's how I would describe mine.

There's honestly some hair bragging online, and we get it.

We get it,

you're fabulous. Congratulations-

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

You have many follicles.

Are you ready for the next trend?

Yes.

I've been waiting for this.

Okay, Maya's been waiting for this one,

this is the healthy sour candy trend.

Healthy sour candy trend, okay.

I need to see the recipe. Yes, ma'am.

I need to see how they make it.

Healthy frozen sour candy grapes.

Frozen sour- I really like them,

I've eaten them already.

Frozen sour candy grapes.

Mm-hmm. Okay, so she-

Ooh, a baking tray. I love these kinda videos.

Wait, what happened?

She froze them in the freezer.

Okay, so just sugar and lime

and you put 'em in the freezer.

I mean, they're fantastic, 100%.

I love sour candy, I hate what it does to my mouth.

Mmm.

And any substitute,

I often do strawberries with lemon and sugar in the freezer

or just like kind of compote it,

and this is an excellent alternative.

I love it, I'm into it.

What does healthy mean? In the same way

that Maya is experiencing joy from eating this,

I'm experiencing anxiety

as to how long these grapes have been out

and who's handled them, so I'm not gonna eat them

because I don't know who touched them

and if they are actually grapes.

They are, but-

And I'm so glad

that you're having a great joyous time eating them, and-

You don't need to eat...

I'm not asking you to eat them.

Thank you,

I appreciate that. These are my grapes.

I'm feeling anxious that you are eating so many of them.

I would say sure.

These look really good, grapes are great.

You could put the word healthy in front of somethin'

and I'm in.

I also don't think it's that healthy though.

That's like a lot of sugar on these grapes,

and I think that just frozen grapes

are a pretty good healthy alternative to sour candy.

Yeah.

And I just think that that's probably good enough

if you really wanna take power over that [indistinct],

you know? Yeah,

and I'm just worried about a choking hazard,

so just take your time with that, and great job chewing.

And we'll wait and we'll just take our time.

[Producer] There's actually no sugar on them.

What is on them? What is it?

[Producer] It's monk fruit powder.

See, I told ya,

there's some weird shit you guys are doing.

You know, it's gettin' weirder than I thought.

Monk fruit powder. Monk fruit powder?

Wow, monk fruit powder tastes a lot like sugar.

Oh my gosh, Maya- We did it.

We did all of the trends!

We win.

I'm pro almost everything, except for Dr. Jart,

who I have a restraining order against.

And [laughing] I'm so excited about what's new and exciting.

Mm-hmm. Me too. [laughing]

Yup.

Thanks for having us, Allure.

See you on the next one!

Bye.

[Producer] Oh, there you go ladies. [laughing]
