The coating it nice and the weight (12kg) I think is perfect for a beginner.
My only slight nitpick is that the coating on the handle can be a a little rough, and is not super smooth. For most exercises it’s no problem at all, but if you are doing moves where the handle is twisting in your hand, and might be a little rough and hurt your hand a little. Wearing gloves might help.
