    Perfect! Would pay double
I used this on the downstairs department and it was amazing. This was £20 in debenams. I thought that was a good deal but it was £13 on Amazon and as I had prime PaP was free. It has 2 blades. The 2mm I used to start and it worked a treat. If you want really short hair you can use the 0.5 m cover this was alright, I was sceptical that it may cut me or my privates. It dident. The only bad thing is that it did tug the hair from time to time( the shirt blade cover) but it never cut my skin or hurt that match just a short prick. Easy to clean as it comes with a brush. Personally for £13 I think it's a very sweat purchase and I would be happy to pay double that. And yes it comes with batteries (only 1 but only one is needed)

A good price, for an very good trimmer.

Trimming your sensitive areas can sometimes be a bit scary, especially when you know how easy it is to hurt yourself (especially with "normal" trimmers).

At first, you might still be a bit scared. But after using it few times, you get more confident, and you see that it can't hurt you.

    PROS:
    - Very good value for money
    - Easy trim of sensitive areas without any risk of hurting yourself
    - Trims the hair short enough to have a smooth skin for few weeks
    - Easy to use
    - Two different trim sizes (both of them for short trim)
    - Does not irritate the skin
    - Small enough to take it with you for holidays etc.

    CONS:
    - Battery doesn't last if you keep it inside when stored (I would advise to take it off when stored)
    - Sometimes hair get stuck inside and it can a little bit tricky to clean (even with a little brush)
    - Red plastic cord does not hold well on the product and often falls off
    - Does not really work under water, hair is hard to trim when wet. It is better to trim them when dry
    - A little bag or pocket for storage would have been appreciated

    Conclusion:
For the price, this trimmer is excellent. Very simple, it makes it easy to use. Your sensitive areas will be protected from cut, you won't hurt yourself with this product.
Not as powerful as other more expensive trimmers, but it is enough to trim easily all your sensitive areas.
For this price, I would recommend to everyone who wants an easy and risk-free way of trimming your sensitive areas to purchase the product.

Purchased this on sale for £10 as I've always used regular shavers for different areas on the body which obviously aren't really designed or shaped to suit all the curves & things you will encounter... so I decided to give this a go.

I was surprised by how smooth of a shave was possible using the 0.3mm guard. Even though the description of the product down below seem to differentiate between 0.3mm and "smooth" for the slightly more expensive models, the 0.3mm guard definitely made everything smooth and got rid of 99% of hairs. Was pretty much on par with a regular razor but without anywhere near as many pulls at hairs & redness aftermath (you will still get a tiny bit of pulls depending on how long the hairs you're shaving are... but this is expected. 1 or 2 per "session" isn't too bad really in comparison to a regular razor.).

If you're not really the type of guy who likes to be completely hairless and as smooth as a baby's bottom (like most guys), I'd suggest you start off with the 3mm guard and see how that suits you, so you don't make the same mistake as I did. The shape of the machine makes it much easier to get in to all the curves and angles and things (especially down there) and overall provides a great grip with decent weight for an enjoyable experience. Don't forget shaving cream though or ensure you're in the shower. It's not a miracle worker!

How well batteries last and how long the machine lasts is something that will take time for me to see, but even if it lasts half a year, at £20 (even though I purchased this for £10) you can't really go wrong. Does what it says on the tin and does it well.

I have been using the Philips Series 1000 Body Groomer with Skin Protector Guards for over six years now, and I am still very impressed with it. I initially used it with rechargeable batteries that I recharged with a separate charger, and they have been working perfectly fine.

One of the things I love most about this body groomer is that it is very safe to use, even on sensitive areas. The skin protector guards do a great job of protecting my skin from the blades, and I have never cut myself with it. Obviously due care and attencion is needed, aslong as your sensible you can have a nick free experience

Another thing I love about this body groomer is that it is very effective at trimming hair. The blades are still as sharp as they were when I first bought the body groomer, and they can easily trim hair of all lengths.

The body groomer is also very easy to use and clean. It is waterproof, so I can use it in the shower or bath. It is also very easy to disassemble and clean the blades.

Overall, I am very happy with the Philips Series 1000 Body Groomer with Skin Protector Guards. It is a well-built, effective, and safe body groomer that is easy to use and clean. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I used to use a Philips Body Groomer 2000 series. That was rechargeable but died as the battery no longer held charge. I have a travel foil shaver that is 15 years old that runs on batteries that still works and is great for travel so I thought I'd get this battery powered groomer too.

I only use this on my arm pits and the area above the privates. I'm not a very hairy individual and might use it on my legs on occasion so it's not seeing heavy usage.

This was definitely a step down from my previous groomer which was a little over double the price about a decade ago. There is only one attachment so you can't adjust the length. The power from the single AA battery was less than my previous rechargeable one. It took me triple the time to complete my grooming as I had to make a lot of passes in the same area.

It is sufficient and good for the price for me. You sacrifice performance for the disposable battery feature. However, I've decided to get rechargeable or corded one.

I'd advise anyone that is even moderately hairy to reconsider getting this unless they absolutely need the disposable battery feature. I just couldn't recommend it outside of that feature.

I bought this product almost 10 years ago in another country to trim all my body hair. I am allergic to wax and can't use razors; the laser epilation centre I was going to recommended to get a random body shaver (usually produced for men) so that the hair doesn't grow thicker. I used it weekly for almost ten years without any complaint, then I dropped it a couple of times really bad and broke it.

I checked everywhere and couldn't find the same one anywhere, and bought a body shaver for women. However, that was garbage; it wasn't even trimming. That made me swear never to get a body shaver designed for women; anyways, I don't want to complain about sexism behind these products in an amazon review.

I decided to get another body shaver from Philips (designed for men), which is an upper level of this and also more expensive: But I didn't like it at all! It was just trimming the hair a little and taking a too long time getting rid of all. It was such a disappointment.

After these bad experiences, I decided to order this one, although the design was slightly different from the one I broke. When I received it, I was surprised the information on the package was in the language that I bought the previous one! It is the same as the one I first had and used for almost 10 years!

I don't have too much body hair, and my hair isn't thick either, but I am sure it works perfectly for those types of body hair too. I recommend this product 100%.

Reviewed in Spain on 30 August 2019
