I used my unfinished painting for reference on how pigmented the colors are. I've only been painting for about a year, but I'm very pleased with these! Not only are there 60 different colors, but I find the quality to be really top tier. They are great gouache paints, but water down nicely as watercolors too. Definitely recommend.

I have and used Holbein, Winsor Newton, Pebeo, M. Graham, etc gouaches. However, Arteza is by far the best student grade gouache that rivals with the artist grade above mentioned. My favorite of all is Holbein and Arteza are comparable. I've been using my Arteza sets since 2020. I bought the 60 tubes set and also the 24 tubes set. The colors are vibrant, they layer creamy and opaque and are beautiful diluted in more transparent layers. I cannot praise them enough. Not sure why aren't they more popular than Himi which are chalky and streaky. Arteza are absolute perfection and an exceptional value considering the quality vs price. I will order again.

I have Himi gouache and tried to move on straight to Holbein, and have experimented with it, but find myself afraid to use it, because I am still a beginner and it is SO expensive. There is a valid reason Holbein is so expensive, with lightfastness and all, however I was blown away that I couldn't tell a difference in application between these and the Holbein. I have absolutely ZERO complaints about these! They are (mostly) opaque, They are at an awesome price for 60 tubes, and have all the colors you could ever want, and if there is one you can think of that isn't in here, you most definitely have enough tubes to mix it. I was initially trepidatious about buying this but I'm so SO glad I did.

This review concerns the 60 color set of Arteza gouache.

I'm an amateur landscape painter with some years of experience working with colors for photographic printing, and for painting with pastels. For my purposes as a beginner at gouache, the Arteza set is a good start, for now.

There's a wide selection of colors, and for the beginner many of the colors are quite adequate in saturation. As with any gouache, some colors are more opaque than others, and it takes some practice to learn how to apply the paint properly. I'm pleased with the set.

However, there are some surprising limitations. First, there is no cyan, as such, and no magenta, as such. These are surprising omissions, since cyan and magenta are foundational colors. There is no Payne's gray, which would have been a very helpful addition. The "olive green" supplied will not appeal to many people. The browns supplied are not attractive (okay, they're actively ugly!) The range of purples and lilacs is quite limited. While you can mix approximations of all these colors, I wonder how many purchasers of this set will be interested in learning how to mix them.

Instead of the above colors, there are several "pearl" metallic colors which some people might like, but most people will not use.

I think anyone who's half serious about painting will want to learn how to mix a range of browns, purples, and lilacs. Once you get started doing that, you'll quickly find out how easy it is to mix other colors.

Despite the above limitations, I like this set. It's fun to play around, mixing colors which appeal to me more than some of those supplied. I would recommend this to a friend, with the same warnings I've included here.

I'm an oil and acrylic painter with many years' experience and quickly learned that you get what you pay for when buying paint. I'm also a former college painting instructor that had to do demos with student grade paint and it was sometimes an exercise in frustration. But gouache is something I just dabble with - mostly using it for studies - so when the Arteza gouache Prime Day offer came up I bit, figuring that if it were a total disappointment I could give it to my granddaughter. I have the good stuff (Winsor and M. Graham) but I was tempted by the fun range of colors, the metallics and the price, which was so great! So far I have been pleasantly surprised with the opacity, pigment and texture of the Arteza gouache. The only thing I could recommend is that they need to include more white. To be fair, you do get two tubes, but to really take advantage of the colors provided I feel you would need a couple more tubes of white I had big tubes of white gouache at home already so it doesn't affect me, but this is meant to be a standalone set with no open stock.

Muy buenas para principiantes, aunque te vuelves flojo en aprender mezclas pues vienen muchos colores, no esperes un gouache de la calidad de los profesionales, pues es dolorosamente cierto que los materiales de excelencia son terriblemente costosos, pero si estás empezando en el mundo del gouache y te quiere saltar el paso de las mezclas, este estuche es para ti, y si te gusta algo de metal en tus pinturas este set trae 12 tubos de colores hermosos que se complementan con muchos de los otros 48 colores que trae este set sin mucha agua quedan increíbles. Lo ideal es usar este gouache en cantidad generosa poquita agua para que no se note la pincelada y así queda bien opaco y parejo, sin olvidar que un buen pincel es necesario para la distribución pareja del producto. Ya si lo quieres diluido te aconsejo una acuarela.

Ich habe nach Farben gesucht, die halbwegs bezahlbar sind, aber trotzdem eine gute Qualität aufweisen. Mit Arteza hab ich da genau das richtige gefunden.
Die Farben haben meine Erwartungen übertroffen!
Für Anfänger würde ich sie nicht direkt empfehlen, denn Gouache Farben sind gewöhnungsbedürftig, da sie reaktiviert werden können mit Wasser. Demnach, wird das mischen auf Flächen, welche die Grundierung behalten sollen, die nicht verwischen soll, etwas schwierig. Aber man findet sich ein.

Ich verstehe nicht ganz, warum Amazon mir sagt ich soll "Durchsichtigkeit" bewerten, bei Farben um welche es um die Deckkraft geht. Durchsichtig sind die Farben definitiv nicht.

Je nachem, welche Tube man nutzt, ist die Farbe mehr oder weniger deckend. Dies ist aber auf jeder Tube ausgewiesen.

Die Farben strahlen sehr schön (siehe Bild), auf meinem Foto wurde alles, AUßER das Pokemon selbst, mit den Farben gemalt.

Die Tuben halten sehr lange, ich muss aber dazu sagen, dass ich sie meist mische, sodass ich nie viel Farbe von einer Tube aufeinmal benötige.

Ich denke, wer gute deckende Farben sucht, ist mit Arteza Farben wirklich gut bedient.

Ottime come Gouache, ci tengo a sottolinearlo perché l'articolo è stato comprato.da me erroneamente credendoli acrilici.
A prescindere li ho tenuti perché compro materiali di questa azienda da un po' ed ho trovato ottimi i colori ad olio, ottimi gli acrilici a tubetto e quello a bottiglietta e anche le Gouache non mi hanno deluso.
Si stendono facilmente, si asciugano bene e si riprendono anche asciutte da settimane, con un goccio d'acqua
