Product Description

“Patchwork Doodle” is Uwe Rosenberg new game in the “patchwork” universe. Two and more players age 8 and up experience a whole new “patchwork”. centered around a new mechanic where cards Display the different puzzle pieces and a dice determines which of them to use, the players draw them on their sketchpad like player board. Special actions and scoring create diversity and tension. After three fast rounds, the new “patchwork” master is crowned. The game will come in a small box, making it a perfect travel game.

    I really enjoy the original patchwork game and this one is a good variant to play with multiple people instead of just two players like the original.

    There are no buttons in this version, and it feels a little less complex, but it’s super easy to teach and play with multiple family members. Pretty quick games and it feels fair since everyone is on the same footing except for the shape of the very first patch piece.

    I photocopied the paper drawing pad included so that I could stretch the number of uses. I would also recommend using your own colorful pencils, pens, or markers for this game.

It’s seems simplistic but there’s some strategy necessary if you’re going to place the shape in the correct spot and score the most points. Easy game to play on a plane, in a restaurant or coffee shop or simply at home with family. If you like roll and writes (this one uses cards instead of dice) or like quick filler games, then this is a good one to get. Good for ages 10+ but also enjoyed by adults. Not necessarily a kids’ game so don’t let the box cover fool you.

Not only can you play with more than two people, but you get to be a little creative in coloring in your patches, too.
