Im not saying this is a bad product. I’m just saying… I see why it’s significantly cheaper than some others. At least, I HOPE those who have paid hundreds more, aren’t having the same issues.

CONS:

1. Locking mechanism: it’s great that you can lock the hooks that hold the bike in place. The problem is, the entire knob is wonky and often doesn’t work. Especially after you lock it then unlock it. So you are standing there looking like an idiot, trying to push up the hook that holds down the cross bar and hoping you won’t end up pushing it into your chin
2. Rust: you need to lather this thing in some sort of weather proofing chemical because the rust is insane. It’s very easy to scratch and the rust can’t wait to show up!
3. Knob fell off: I have a missing knob and unsure where it fell off. Or why. But I will have to figure out how to replace it

PROS:
1. Easy enough to install alone. I did it by myself as a 44 year old woman.
2. Works as intended and feels solid
3. I have driven on highways for miles and it stays in place- no problems
4. Easy to use daily
5. Decent looking
6. Economic
