I ordered 2 Nest candles as a thank you gift. Both were fragrances I had never smelled before and was quite excited to try them. The Holiday candle was nice enough though my friend was thrilled to receive it. It was the larger more expensive candle that was the disappointment to me. I ordered Velvet Pear. In the past any time I ordered a candle with pear in it it would be a light, refreshing fragrance. Instead my friend was sent another fragrance -I don't remember now what it was called but it certainly wasn't light or refreshing. It was one of the scents that was heavy, and cloying.
The thing that upset me was that I ordered it correctly. And the delivery ticket had the right name on it. But obviously it wás pulled wrong. An error on Amazon not me.
When I called customer service I was in for another disappointment. I don't know what has happened to Amazon customer service in the last year or so, but Bezos, you need to know it's gone way downhill. It used to be if there was an error like this Amazon would send out another whatever to immediately rectify the problem. Immediately. You were fair and responsive. So even though I would get aggravated at times that Amazon was the only game in town, your customer service made it worthwhile. Now, mey....

My friend was leaving for Europe the next day. And I was flying home. Neither one of us had the time to return a candle neither of us wanted to a UPS store and I was out $45+. All because why? You're trimming costs on goodwill customer service on orders you screwed up? Way to go.
