I wear work gloves constantly - as in, I never do anything outdoors without a pair on or at least nearby. This has saved me much wear and tear on my hands (you only get one set!) There are a LOT of gloves out there. Over the years I think I've tried them all: the heavy duty cowhide "ranch" style gloves from Tractor Supply (too stiff), fashionable yet pricey Mechanix brand gloves, plus all the Mechanix knock offs you find in the hardware aisle at Walmart. These CLC's finished somewhere in the middle of the pack: not the cheapest but also not the sturdiest. The fingertips blew out after a few months of hard use but I never hated wearing them. I now use $10 Wells Lamont work gloves that I get from the "work clothes" aisle at Walmart (right next to the Dickies overalls and the orange vests). They last about twice as long as everything else I've tried including these CLC's.
