The filter worked amazing with an easy and simple modification. We filtered about 12L of water using our camelbaks in about 20minutes. We did NOT have any clogging issue. I work on small engines and reading the reviews about how easily this Lifestraw clogs, I decided to use a John Deere all plastic fuel filter as a "pre-filter". I put together a 4 stage whole house filter. So, applied the same concept. The part number for the John Deere fuel filter is #AM116304. You just cut another 5/16 (inner diameter - ID) line and add it BEFORE the Lifestraw. Also, the Lifestraw takes about 10minutes to prime after it gets wet. So, once you get the filters completely saturated, wait about 10minutes before you can expect to suck the water out of it (if you're using it straight from your water reservoir pouch).
