The weakest link on these pads is the semi-soft rubber knobs that the rubber support bands attach to. These should be made of a durable plastic but, because they are fabricated from semi-soft rubber, they break off at the shaft. I replaced them all on each pad with a component made of a combination of one 1/4"-20 flat head elevator bolt, two fender washers and two 1/4"-20 nylon insert lock nuts. Did this on two pairs and problem solved. Don't buy these unless you're prepared to make that modification.
