I’ve gone down the road in the past of purchasing cheaper, knock off versions that work for a while, but ultimately fail.
However, this lock is exactly what I should have Purchased From the beginning. The seamless Apple HomeKit integration is really what sold me on this lock. The lock is stylish and does not take away from my houses look.
It was really easy to replace my older deadbolt with this lock. It Took approximately 20 minutes (This includes a HomeKit set up).
The only Slight negative is they have different versions of this lock. Be sure that you get the HomeKit version If you have An apple ecosystem. Also, some of the versions come with keys and home key. Double check before you purchase to avoid having to send it back.
The bottom line, go ahead and pay the extra money and you won’t be disappointed. The ability to use Siri to open your door or the home key is awesome.
