This rope, or string rather is very thin, narrow, skinny or whatever you want to call it. It's practically only 1/8" in diameter, I thought wrongly it would be closer to climbing rope in thickness. Let the buyer beware. I bought it for truck bed tie down applications. I'll still use it, but not sure for what yet. The overall spool is pretty little as well...about the size of an average salt shaker. The picture deceived me into thinking the rope was bigger than a pencil diameter and that the spool size would be closer to a small coffee can. I was wrong. Hope this helps someone else in making a wise purchase decision.
