I thought it might be helpful to speak to sizing and how it affects me. Take note that both have very pliable silicone so this will only affect a few people.

I have a big, thin, long nose (in profile) and always wore the 6502 QL (which is Medium Model). I figured my face is medium.

It was always uncomfortable after time, across the bridge of my nose and while it did seal, whenever I put on my glasses, it made the discomfort more pronounced. Especially with the heavier cartridges and looking down, it puts a lot of strain on your neck so you have to cinch it much tighter to get good seal.

It NEVER occurred to me that it was the wrong size for me.

So, I just purchased the 6503 QL (which is Large model) and it is notably different, not that it's bigger overall, but HOW and WHERE it is bigger.

The photo shows the 6502 (M) on the L and the 6503 (L) on the R.

There is much more depth in the large to accommodate my nose. It cushions and flexes as opposed to sits hard on bone, if that makes any sense. It also allows you to cinch tighter, create a good seal and still have some wiggle room inside for comfort.

Also, my glasses with adjustable nose pieces can span the bridge area and the rubber provides enough space to create contact and hold them in place. My reading glasses all have fixed nose pieces so there is no real difference here. I still have to wear a band.

Also, sometimes I wear a beard and the L also cups around the lower part of my jawline better. Better seal.

So, I hope this helps if someone who may have a more pronounced nose in profile.
