I purchased the Moccamaster 53948 KBGV Select 10-Cup Coffee Maker for my father, and from the moment we unboxed it, it was a letdown. Despite its hefty $400 price tag, the majority of the material is made of cheap plastic that feels fragile and prone to breaking. For such a high cost, we expected a product of legendary quality, but this machine doesn't even come close.
The coffee maker doesn't have any standout features that justify its price compared to much cheaper models. It’s only been a month since we started using it, and while it’s functional for now, I have serious doubts about its longevity.
Overall, the Moccamaster has been an absolute disappointment. We'll continue to use it and update this review over time, but as it stands, this purchase feels like a significant waste of money. Save your money and go for a more reliable and better-built coffee maker.
