As a casual collector of knives, I bought one of these for my son who is out of college. The Marine Corps Ka-Bar is a fantastic overall multi-use knife relied on by US Marines for many years. If you're a man, I have to ask you "Why don't you own one?"
"Son, did you get that Ka-Bar I sent you?"
"Yeah, it's cool. What do I use it for?"
"Lot of things. Better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it."
"So basically, for the zombie apocalypse?"
"Yup."
"Sweet."
