Customer Review

Recently bought this as an EDC flashlight for when I take midnight walks. Was very impressed by its tough, durable design and the different brightness modes it offered. The lanyard, while not of extremely high quality, was of higher quality than that of other brands such as the Fenix PD35 and had a bead you can pull to tighten it around your wrist. However there is one major flaw: The tailcap's circuitry keeps coming loose, making the flashlight flicker and die randomly as the circuit is cut. I watched a Youtube tutorial that showed me how to tighten the tailcap by removing it, and tightening the O-Ring inside by using needle nose pliers to get into the two holes near the spring that holds the battery in place, but just a few hours later and the O-Ring loosened again and the flashlight died. Note that when the O-Ring is sufficiently tight, the flashlight works like a charm, with decent throw and not too much flooding, and 1100 lumens is incredibly bright, which is always a fun feature to have. However, the O-Ring seems to loosen at the slightest provocation, even when I'm doing light tasks like taking a walk on the beach.

TL:DR: This has potential to be a very bright, reliable, durable, and compact flashlight if ThruNite would fix the tail cap issues.
