I'm a big fan of D3O for shock absorption - I have motorcycle armor made of this stuff. The case a bit bulkier than the minimal ones I usually get but worth it. Unfortunately it only lasted about a year or so. The case is made of separate pieces that eventually came unglued. The Gear4 ZAGG Havana Case I bought at the same time has D3O also and has held up much better (still in use).
