I’ve been holding out on buying a Dyson for YEARS. I thought there’s NO WAY a vacuum should cost that much more over other vacuum cleaners. How much of a difference could there be in suction? Especially once other brands came out with a knockoff vacuum, right? WRONG
I won’t name the three other brands I bought and tried and used for years. They each did a decent job of vacuuming. I will say what I love about the Dyson and why I won’t go back to another brand. I live with my husband in a 1500 sq ft home along with an elderly small dog and a cat.
First; the suction. Wow, I am amazed at the crap I got up even after I vacuumed with my old vacuum. Great suction and easy dumping canister. My floors look great. This even got up dog hair from an area carpet.
Second; the sound. I have multiple hearing issues. Certain pitches and decibels can really annoy me. The Dyson has low amount of noise. It doesn’t have that high pitch that can sound like fingernails on a chalkboard or screaming to me. The Dyson was a pleasure, the sound is almost gentle. If you HATE the sound of a vacuum, you might try Dyson. My ears are happy.
Third; the weight. It is very very light weight. Super easy to move around and swivel. Crazy easy to get into corners and behind furniture. An absolute breeze to handle.
Fourth; battery time. Lasted long enough for me to vacuum all the floors in my house.
Lastly; quality. Quality parts, switches, buttons, brushes, etc. All are of great quality. I expect this vacuum to last for a very long time. So pleased.
