This facility is a bit of a hidden gem, in my opinion. Not only was is right off the iconic Route 66, it was incredibly clean and homely with all the amenities you would need for a great value. On top of that, it was reasonably close to the Grand Canyon's south rim at a fraction of the cost. If you're looking for a fancy hotel, this isn't the place. But if you want somewhere you can relax and feel like home, stay here. I was pleasantly surprised and preferred this over our hotel in Las Vegas.

This was our second visit, 5 years after our first. The rooms are quite spacious and clean, the price is very reasonable. There are no breakfast facilities at the hotel, but really close (walking distance) there is a great diner (Mike & Ronda) where we enjoyed a huge and tasty breakfast. The city center is within walking distance, and the place is easy to find/reach by car. Excellent for a short stay, e.g. if you wish to explore the Grand Canyon of Monument Valley.

Loved the location - plenty of cute shops and restaurants within walking distance and a scenic drive to the Grand Canyon. The hotel is beautiful and has such a rich history - the owners have done an amazing job of renovating the facilities while preserving the building's charm. The room was very comfortable and provided an excellent night's sleep. I highly recommend The Historic Grand Canyon Hotel and hope to be back in the future as well!

We just spent one night in Flagstaff on our way from the Grand Canyon to Phoenix, didn't have any time unfortunately to visit the city itself and chose the hotel as it was quite well located on the route. The room itself was comfortable and seems to have undergone renovation recently. The highway was directly next to the hotel and though we could hear the noise in the room, it was okay and we slept well anyway.

Great location south of Grand Canyon South Rim in Williams AZ. The Hotel rooms are in ground floor and first floor levels overlooking either the Chevron gas station that houses some nice vintage cars or the back side overlooking greenery. The onsite restaurant and bar serves nice food and drinks. The biggest room offered is a double queen. The bathroom is little cramped though - has a basic shower and closet.

I loved our stay in the Grand Hotel 🏨 the amenities were excellent, we had everything we needed to meet our expectations. Very clean, plenty of space, coffee available inside the room soft and comfortable bed. Breakfast was available for 18$ pp and I'm very happy with the quality and quantity of choices in the buffet. Everything was amazing and I would love to stay again if I visit the Grand Canyon.

My main purpose for staying at this property was a place to sleep and wash myself while I was recreating in the Flagstaff and Grand Canyon area. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the shower was clean and very pleasant to use with plenty of hot water. The accommodations are far better than can be found at a hostel for very similar rates. David is a great host, and I would happily stay here again!

Williams AZ Hostel is the VERY BEST PLACE for Solo Travelers who show up in this area to visit the Grand Canyon. The hostel — just a one hour drive from the South Rim is very clean, with all nice bathroom facilities and a shared kitchen — AND it no longer has dorms ~ so you get a private room ~ all to yoursel—for a Very Good Price!

Location and price were the key factors for us; we visited to the Grand Canyon early the next day. that said, we loved the style of the Hotel, which fitted well in this Arizona town. An experience we will never forget. We arrived late, so we were grateful for the clear instructions to get into our room, which was nice and warm.

The hotel was very nice, pet friendly, and the staff was very accommodating. It's right off the interstate, and close to Sunset Crater, Walnut Canyon, and other places, including Grand Canyon (east side). There was even a Denny's and Cracker Barrel at each end of the service road it's on!

This hotel was amazing! We spent 3 nights here. Very nice hotel. Rooms are incredible. Very clean. Breakfast variety was very yummy and delicious. Location is perfect for going to Out of Africa, Grand Canyon, and neighboring areas. Great laundromat for laundry located not too far from there.

Very easy place for touring the Grand Canyon. The room was comfy. They are a bit dark with all the brown but wasn’t a huge deal as I was only there for the night. Hotel definitely wasn’t life changing, especially for the cost. But it is such a small town, it makes sense.

Hotel is located in a beautiful city of Williams and it is an hour drive to the Grand Canyon. The room was comfortable. Free parking place was provided. Close to some good restaurants and nice shops with local products. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel looked fairly new and facilities/room were the same. The staff were helpful and friendly. Free parking and good breakfast. Easy access to Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater. Washer/dryer facilities really helpful and not expensive.

The city is very cute little town in Road 66 historical area. The hotel is frendly, easy to find and good base to visit Grand Canyon National Park. We get simple breakfast too. The room wasn't new or luxory but was confortable for a night.

We selected the Hotel because it was part of a package to visit the Grand Canyon. It was well situated for the station and local restaurants. The room was quiet. The railway trip and Grand Canyon eclipsed the hotel's shortcomings.

Hotel was clean, staff was wonderful! The atrium was beautiful with all the plants and the spa was just what we needed to relax after hiking at the Grand Canyon! Breakfast was delicious, quick and reasonably priced!

A good Hotel to stay in Williams for one night, as we did on our way back from Grand Canyon NP; We had good dinner in close by (foot walking distance) as well as a nice breakfast in a Restraurant next door.

We checked in at 1:30am after being in the Grand Canyon all day and were greeted with good cheer. Hotel was quiet, we didn’t hear anything from stringing rooms. Breakfast was well stocked and clean

This was the perfect place to stay on our road trip. Staff super nice. Hotel clean. Breakfast was just what we needed. Best of all not a long drive to Grand Canyon. We arrived before the crowds
