This is a beautiful place that has been built and furnished to a very high standard. The beds were very comfortable, everything you need is there inside!very clean and the hosts were very attentative and offered advice on the local area. We stayed as a stop over on the way to the south but wish we had stayed longer!

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful and interesting place. Les Eyzies is steeped in pre-history - you can see 17,000 year old cave paintings right there in the village. Our house at Domain de Comtesse de Dordogne was beautifully furnished and fully-equipped to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. The houses are set among extensive grounds, with a river, a fishing lake and a waterfall – birdsong is everywhere. Each house has a well-furnished shaded patio, with barbeque facilities and we ate outside a lot. Although other houses were occupied while we were there, we hardly saw anybody, and we had the pool to ourselves. The owners, Jean Claude and Lizette, were very friendly and helpful, both before and during our visit. We didn’t have a car with us, so it was useful to have a supermarket and bakery just minutes’ walk away. The house we stayed in was light and airy with a huge modern living room giving beautiful views over the grounds. We thoroughly recommend this place.

La Maison du Pontac is located in Villenave-d’Ornon. The accommodation is 12 km from Mérignac, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. Very good location - close to main road, easy to find, plenty places to eat and a big shopping area including Auchan supermarket in walking distance. Nicole et Jean-Marc are lovely people, very welcoming hosts. The house is clean, spaceous, furnished in style. You will have everything you need there.
