Samson's Stage XPD2 digital wireless system gives you all this and more in a simple, affordable system that covers all the basis with a minimum of fuss.

Sending and receiving

The system is made up of Samson's PXD1 beltpack transmitter, LM10 omnidirectional lavalier microphone, and RXD2 USB receiver. The PXD1 transmitter operates on the 2.4GHz frequency band for global, license-free operation. Two AA batteries give you up to 20 hours of battery life with a beltpack that weighs just over three ounces. A handy volume control lets you set the transmitter's output level. And with a broadcast range of 100 feet (line of sight) you'll have plenty of room to move.

Pairing the RXD2 USB receiver to the transmitter is simplicity itself—a single press of the receiver's Pair button and voila! The receiver connects directly to your computer's USB port, as well as to Samson mixers with a USB wireless port; iOS and Android handheld devices require an adapter (sold separately). You can monitor the signal using the receiver's 3.5mm line/headphone output. A Status indicator light lets you know when you're connected.

Clip it on

The LM10 lavalier microphone clips to your clothing for an unobtrusive look, and connects to the beltpack via a 3-pin connector. Its omnidirectional frequency response means it'll pick up your voice even if it's not aimed precisely at your sweet spot. The included foam windscreen cuts down on background noise.

Samson's Stage XPD2 is an inexpensive, easy-to-use digital wireless system that lets you get the most from your portable devices.

Features

Overview: The Samson Stage XPD2 Digital Wireless USB headset microphone is ideal for recording or amplifying speeches, seminars, lectures, or for live streaming events. It can also be useful for leading an exercise class or a guided tour. The wireless system is compatible with most digital audio software and voice recognition software, and allows you to record straight to your computer. The system includes the LM8 lavalier microphone, the Stage PXD1 wireless beltpack transmitter, and the RXD2 USB wireless receiver.

LM8 Lavalier Microphone: The LM8 lavalier microphone is designed for discreet spoken word presentations, such as lectures or seminars. The clip-on mic gives you the freedom to walk around and use your hands without having to worry about holding a microphone or being tethered by a mic cable. The tiny microphone is attached to a 46" cable that terminates into a mini-XLR plug which plugs directly into the beltpack transmitter. The microphone includes a clip for attaching it to your shirt or lapel, and a foam windscreen.

Wireless System: Communication between the beltpack and the wireless receiver takes place in the 2.4GHz frequency band (2.404-2.476 GHz), with an operating range of up to 100 feet. The RXD2 receiver, with its USB connector, plugs directly into your computer, from where it receives power. The built-in 3.5mm (1/8") jack can be used as a headphone output or a line output to a mixer or sound system. In this configuration, a 5V/AC USB adapter (not included) will be required to power the RXD2 receiver. The PXD1 beltpack transmitter gives you about 20 hours of use from two "AA" alkaline batteries (not included). Before use, you must pair the transmitter and receiver by pressing the Pair button on the receiver.

Input Gain Control: The transmitter has a rotary control under the battery cover that allows you to adjust the transmitter input sensitivity. It has been factory preset to the optimum level for the microphone. If needed, you can raise or lower the input level using the supplied plastic screwdriver.

Compatibility: The Stage XPD2 system is compatible with the following operating systems: Windows and Mac OS X computers without a driver. It can also be used with an iPad, using an optional Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, or an Android device using a Host OTG adapter (both adapters sold separately).

Expedition Series Portable PAs: This Stage XPD2 wireless system is compatible with the Samson Expedition Series of Portable PA systems, including models XP106w, XP108w, XP208w, XP310w, XP312w, XP800, and XP1000. These PA systems have a USB port for 2.4GHz wireless systems, such as the XPD2.
