Has Gareth Southgate's era as England manager run its course? Graham Potter shortens to evens to be the next Three Lions boss following England's loss in the Euro 2024 final

There's no denying Gareth Southgate's success as England manager. With two Euros final appearances and a World Cup semi-final and quarter-final berth in his last four major tournaments - his résumé speaks for itself.

With that being said, Southgate has drawn criticism from fans and pundits alike throughout Euro 2024 for his defensive style of play and late substitutions.

While he managed to largely silence those critics with continued success and better performances as the tournament progressed - he still couldn't manage to guide the Three Lions to their maiden Euros title and first major trophy since 1966.
