The Bachelorette viewers are convinced the show is 'staged' after spotting what they took to be a massive clue in the latest episode as they furiously accused producers of manufacturing drama.
The ABC dating series aired its second episode of season 21 on Monday, which saw bachelors Aaron Erb and Devin Strader sensationally clash as they fought for Jenn Tran's affection.
Their explosive feud reached fever pitch when Aaron, 29, snidely gifted Devin, 28, a book on 'self-growth' which in turn reminded audiences of the time his twin brother Noah Erb was given a similar token by Bennett Jordan in season 16.
Viewers refused to buy into the latest scene and branded it 'fake' after they struggled to find proof that the book - Principles for Self-Growth by Dr Brandon O' Conner – actually exists.
Upon closer inspection, they even spotted a spelling mistake on the spine, leading to the conclusion that it had been created by producers specifically for the show.

In scenes that aired in episode two, Aaron Erb gifted Devin Strader what appears to be a fake book on self-growth
'There's no way Bachelor producers didn't plan this…,' wrote one viewer on X.
'That book scene between Devin and Aaron is giving staged…those two are likely cool irl now,' another said.
A third wrote: 'My favorite part of The Bachelor is when they talk about book. It's books like these that you quite literally cannot find a copy of online that are always about "emotional intelligence".
'These are the books mediocre straight men read if they're reading at all.'
A fourth said: 'If I had a nickel for every time one man gives another man a book on emotional intelligence, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.'
'These guys going after Devin for "interrupting" the group date as if producers didn't set the whole thing up, as they do every season to manufacture fake drama,' another said.
A sixth added: 'I'm sorry ABC - I can't watch this season - everyone seems fake including the Bachelorette - something feels off this season and I just don't buy into it - I wonder what the ratings are.'
On Reddit, one user posted: 'It was definitely a fake book. Someone noticed that the producers misspelled a word on the spine then googled it and the book doesn't exist.'

Aaron and Devin's explosive feud was initially sparked when Devin whisked Jenn away for some ice cream during what should have been a group date.
In the scenes that followed, Aaron pulled his costar aside and presented him with the surprise present.
Aaron said: 'Honestly, I'm supportive of you and I have a little something to give you.
'I brought this with me. It's something that I've read a few times. It's helped me grow as a person.
'I want to give it to you because I want to see you win. I'm wishing you the best, be careful how you handle yourself.'

Viewers accused production of manufacturing the drama on social media
While Devin accepted the gift, he was secretly fuming behind the scenes and vented his frustration in his confessional.
'I don't know what his deal is, especially with the book,' he raged.
'That's his M.O, passive aggression. He wouldn't say that I lack emotional intelligence, so he gives me a book on emotional intelligence.
'That was his petty way to say I got the last shot at Devin.'
