This Morning descended into chaos on Wednesday as the cooking segment took a turn for the worst - with flatbreads getting stuck inside the air fryer and host Josie Gibson burning her fingers.

Chef Nathan Anthony joined Josie, 39, and Rylan Clark, 35, in the studio to show viewers at home how to make tandoori chicken kebabs.

The viral recipe was supposed to be super quick and easy, only taking 15 minutes to make - however, the kitchen was soon in a state of disarray.

Nathan got to work and everything went smoothly as he made the chicken skewers, popping them on the counter as he went off to heat up the flatbreads.

However, Josie, who didn't realise the food was scorching hot, suffered an accident as she grabbed the chicken skewer to take a bite.

Immediately realising her mistake and burning her fingers, Josie gasped in pain and quickly dropped the skewer, which led to a eruption of laughter in the studio.

Rylan made sure she was okay before joking: 'I'm going to take you off to A&E in a minute,' to which Josie responded: 'I've got no fingertips left but it's all good'.

Then, things kept going downhill as an essential part of the dish didn't pan out like it was supposed to.

The flatbreads which were supposed to accompany the skewers got stuck inside the air fryer, so didn't actually make it to the plate.

Trying to save the situation, Rylan added: 'We won't judge you for that, we'll just say it was an accident on television.'

As they presented the finished product, Josie couldn't contain her laughter and struggled to pull herself together to bring the segment to a close.

Each morning, the hosts run through the top trending stories of the day and discuss what's going on in the news.

Yesterday, Rylan and Josie were joined by Nick Ferrari, 65, and Sonia Sodha, 43 - but viewers noticed Josie wasn't joining in much with the conversation.
