Bargain Hunt star rushed to hospital with terrifying symptom - as he reveals 'constant battle' with health in rare update

A Bargain Hunt star has revealed they were rushed to hospital after suffering with a terrifying symptom.

Antiques expert Thomas Forrester sought medical help after struggling with a tingling sensation in his hands, with Thomas unaware of what was causing his ailment.

And sharing a rare update in which he opened up about his health, the BBC star told how he had been diagnosed with a painful trapped nerve in his hand.

Thomas went on to attribute the malady to him being a keen fencer, having practiced the sport several times a week.

Detailing his health ordeal to The Sun, Thomas said: 'The thing is I'm a fencer. I fence three times a week and I'm going to continue fencing.

'They have released it [the trapped nerve] and massaged it and hopefully within a week it will sort of stop.'

The jewellery and silver specialist went on: 'It's a constant battle we're told to exercise, we're sort of told to keep better and all of that but with the exercise comes the moans, the nibbles, the grunts, the this and all of that.'

Thomas, who was speaking at a charity auction in Oxfordshire, went on to add that he will need 'more treatment' to sort of his tennis elbow.

Thomas' health woes comes just a month after fellow Bargain Hunt star John Cameron paid a 'huge thank you' to NHS staff after revealing he was rushed to hospital following a suspected heart attack.

The antiques expert shared the terrifying health scare on Instagram in July, as he told his followers he'd had a stent fitted to unblock an artery.

Sharing a snap taken from his hospital bed, John also shared that his heart attack came just 10 minutes before he was due to start filming an episode of the BBC show.

He captioned the post: 'On a day when junior doctors stage a one day strike over back pay, I would like to pledge my support and say a huge thank you to the St Mary's hospital drop-in centre...

'The paramedics 'Jess' and 'Cat' who transported me to Queen Alexandra Hospital with sirens blaring...

'And the amazing emergency team in theatre who fitted me with a stent unblocking the artery that caused me to have a heart attack just 10 minutes before I was about to film a BBC Bargain Hunt auction at my firm Nesbits in Southsea.

'Not sure how many of my 9 lives still remain but I definitely lost one yesterday. To quote the great ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius, ''we have two lives, the second one begins when you realise you only have one.''

'I will now be switching to a more friendly and renewable light source over the candle I have been burning at both ends!
