As we head into late August, the Los Angeles Dodgers remain the favorites to win the World Series. The Dodgers opened at +550, moved to +450 after signing Shohei Ohtani in the offseason and now sit at 3-1 at ESPN BET. The Philadelphia Phillies, top record in the National League, sit at 5-1, behind only the Dodgers despite losing six in a row entering Sunday.

The New York Yankees boast the best odds in the American League, also at 5-1, to win the World Series and +240 to claim the pennant. The Baltimore Orioles, who trail the Yankees in the AL East by a game, are +700.

The NL Wild Card-leading San Diego Padres and red-hot Arizona Diamondbacks are both at 16-1.

The defending champion Texas Rangers haven't played up to their level from last season, and have seen their odds dip to 75-1 after opening the season at 10-1.
