ESPN Corporate Citizenship Named Humanitarian Award Winner

The 14th annual Media Excellence Awards announced last week that ESPN Corporate Citizenship has been named the winner of the MEA Humanitarian Award, after being elected by the organization's board members. ESPN was recognized for leveraging its platforms to make a difference and bettering lives through its programs to ensure youth have access to sports and opportunities to gain leadership skills through sports, as well as its continuous commitment to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

For over 14 years, the Media Excellence Awards have led the mobile tech, entertainment and multi-media industry by honoring global innovators and leaders who have raised the bar, defined the market, created innovation and paved the way for the future in technology. As part of the Awards, winners are judged by a panel of industry professionals based upon a variety of criteria from innovation to quantifiable business benefits to success in market, and more.

"To be recognized with the MEA Humanitarian Award this year - when there's no question times have been challenging for all - is a true testament to our team and the effort we put in to inspire social good through the power of sports," said Kevin Martinez, vice president of ESPN Corporate Citizenship. "I'm thrilled with what we've been able to accomplish as a team, and I look forward to driving more change in the months and years ahead."
