The 2018 recruiting class was one of the best in recent memory, headlined by five-star quarterbacks out of the state of Georgia -- Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence.

The Peach State was also home to a powerful No. 1 class from Georgia, which beat out Ohio State and Texas for the top spot. The Bulldogs' class was led by No. 1 overall recruit Fields, and 12 other players who ranked in the top 75 of the ESPN 300 that year. Two years later, the class has by and large lived up to expectations and also produced some stars who have raced past expectations.

We examined how different the class would look if we re-ranked players based on their college production. Here are the top 10 players knowing what we know now.

1. Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

Lawrence was the No. 2-ranked prospect in the ESPN 300 coming out of high school in Georgia. Lawrence sits atop the re-ranking due in large part to a larger body of work and leading the Tigers to the 2019 national championship. The former five-star prospect has backed up a terrific freshman campaign with a solid sophomore season of 2,575 passing yards and 27 TDs with eight interceptions.

2. Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

The former five-star prospect and No. 1 overall in the 2018 ESPN 300 has been a true difference-maker for the Buckeyes after his transfer from Georgia. Fields has passed for 2,164 yards and 312 TDs against just a lone interception, and has rushed for 377 yards and 10 scores. The Under Armour All-America Game alumnus could have a seat in New York at the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

3. Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson

Ross has starred for the defending champs since arriving to the tune of 46 receptions for 1,000 yards and nine TDs as a freshman. The No. 74-ranked prospect in the 2018 class has backed up his stellar freshman season with 43 catches for 537 yards and six scores thus far in 2019.

4. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU

After a solid freshman campaign, the No. 266-ranked prospect in the 2018 ESPN 300 has played at an All-American level as a sophomore with 57 receptions for 1,116 yards and 13 touchdowns with at least four games remaining. Chase is on pace to set several LSU receiving records.

5. Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama

The 6-foot-2, 203-pound former five-star prospect has been a difference-maker for the Crimson Tide since the midway point of his freshman season. After tallying 37 tackles and one interception as a freshman, the former five-star prospect has racked up 35 tackles and two INTs as a sophomore.

6. Cade Mays, OL, Georgia

The No. 25-ranked prospect in the 2018 class has quickly become the most versatile offensive lineman in college football, having played snaps at every position along the line since enrolling in Athens. After starting seven games as a freshman and earning Freshman All-American Honors, Mays has logged snaps at all five positions in 2019, starting all 10 games to date. He is on course for postseason All-SEC honors and All-American team consideration.

7. Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

The No. 154 prospect in the ESPN 300 coming out of high school has been a star for the Gators as a sophomore, with 46 receptions for 566 yards and five TDs. He will likely garner postseason All-SEC and All-American honors.

8. Micah Parsons, DE/OLB, Penn State

The five-star prospect in the 2018 class has been a highly productive defender since stepping on campus at Penn State. After racking up 83 tackles and becoming the first true or redshirt freshman to lead the Nittany Lions in tackles, the 6-3, 245-pound edge defender has amassed 75 tackles, eight tackles for loss and two sacks.

9. Jaylen Waddle, WR/PR, Alabama

On a team with three other future NFL draft picks at wide receiver, Waddle may be the most feared playmaker of the group due to his electrifying ability in the return game. Not only does the former top-100 prospect in the ESPN 300 have more than 1,200 yards receiving and nine TDs since arriving in Tuscaloosa, but he also has 640 yards in punt returns and two scores.

10. Trey Hill, OG, Georgia

Hill is one of several future NFL draft picks on the Bulldogs' offensive line, but he has been arguably the best this season. Hill has played every snap in five games, has started all 10 and has been named to the Rimington Trophy watch list. The No. 22-ranked prospect in the 2018 class became a starter his freshman year in Athens, earning four starts.
