The GeauxTigerNation Recruit Tracker will provide updates on LSU commits as well as news on targets the Tigers are going after.

Quarterbacks

Needs: 1 | Commits: 2

LSU isn't taking any chances finding a signal-caller for the future after recent struggles at the position. The Tigers have secured out-of-state commitments from two of the nation's top quarterbacks -- one a runner, one a pocket-passer.

Running Backs

Needs: 1 | Commits: 1

LSU is absolutely stacked in the offensive backfield, as anyone who has watched the Tigers can attest. The top talent in the state for 2014 might be a running back -- Leonard Fournette (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine) -- and LSU seems content to wait for the next class rather than add another tailback to the logjam this year. While LSU's penchant for developing defensive tackles into big, bruising fullbacks has worked out well, judging from J.C. Copeland's play this year, the Tigers have a commit to presumably take over those duties when Copeland leaves after the 2013 season.

Wide receivers

Needs: 1-2 | Commits: 3

There's never been a lack of wide receivers on a Les Miles roster, but one or two guys always get lost in the shuffle. LSU took the juco route to find an immediate replacement for the departing Russell Shepard, and there will be several talented prospects to restock an already solid corps.

Tight Ends

Needs: 2 | Commits: 2

LSU once again answered more than one need by adding both a blocker and a pass-catcher to this class.

Offensive Line

Needs: 3 | Commits: 5

LSU flexed its recruiting muscle by plucking its top O-line commit out of the Chicago area. As usual there's plenty of talented big men in Louisiana. The pickup of Dodd from Alabama's class was icing on the cake.
