About this audiobook
"A page-turning tale of Faustian bargains." —Alma Katsu, author of The Deep and The Hunger
HELLRAISER meets 'SALEM'S LOT in this wildly original novel of small-town suspense.
A TOWN DIVIDED. A DEMON MADE WHOLE.
When rock guitarist Ash Hudson suffers a career-ending hand injury, she seeks out the only thing that can heal it—her hometown's darkest secret.
For decades the residents of Hollow Hills, Pennsylvania, have offered their diseased and injured body parts to a creek demon named Snare. In return, Snare rewards its Traders with healthy replacement parts. There's only one catch: if Traders leave town, their new parts vanish forever.
Ash wants a new hand, but living in Hollow Hills isn't an option. Not when her band is one gig away from hitting the big time. Desperate, she bargains with Snare, promising to help the demon complete its organ collection in exchange for both a new hand and the freedom for everyone to leave town.
As her band's show rapidly approaches, Ash teams up with her estranged father in a last-ditch effort to recruit new Traders. But not everyone trusts Snare's offer, and Ash soon learns how far her neighbors will go to protect their precious parts.
With her family in danger and her band waiting, Ash must find a way to help Snare. But even if she succeeds, there's no telling what Snare plans to do with everyone's bad parts.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a fast-paced and thrilling narrative with well-developed characters. The story keeps readers guessing with its multiple twists and intense pacing. While some reviewers wished for more descriptive horror elements, it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment. The author's writing style is crisp and the characters are flawed yet believable. BAD PARTS is highly recommended for fans of small town horror and those who enjoy a mix of action and suspense.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So. much. fun. I cannot wait for the next books in this series. McNulty's writing is crisp and gutsy. His characters don't have a false luster but instead enrapture with believable yet dangerous flaws. Ash especially isn't crafted as the stereotypical bad girl that I am loathe to find leading thrillers. A desperatation and impulsivity underlies her strength as a woman bent on getting what she thinks she needs. Tightly plotted and intensely paced, BAD PARTS is small town horror at its best.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Bad Parts is a hyperspeed thriller that perfectly captures loss, desperation, and mental fortitude of the human spirit. The lead guitars of the metal Band: Bad Parts loses her ability to play on the eve of making it big. She returns to her hometown in North East Pa to look for answers to a career-ending problem. Through force of will, she thinks she has persevered through one of the worst events of her life and quickly discovers that she can lose much more than she already has.
Brandon McNulty's style is reminiscent of Steven King, and Jack Ketchum. There are no pulled punches in this fast-paced narrative. The situations created are full of a-moral quandaries that I pray I would never need to answer.
Ellie Gossage superbly brings these characters to life, blowing away my expectations. I listen to about 50 audiobooks per year, and I found the production of this to be higher quality than many bigger publishers. The Narrator is clear, well-paced, and brings a distinct voice to each character. I anxiously await another story from Both Brandon McNulty and Ellie Gossage. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This story was well constructed, character development kept you in the spirit of authors attempt at human desperation and self servatude. Although very mild in the gore aspect of horror the storyline flowed with action and multiple twists. The author kept you guessing till the end which kept the tempo high. It would have been a 5 star for me if there was more descriptive usage surrounding the horror of the tragedies, it felt like a miss step on the authors part not to take the visual further...but it didnt hurt the story. Not Recommended for those who don't like blood and guts horror. Recommended to those like me who do like that type of horror and want to switch it down a notch.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5an unrealistically moral free bad female main character.... the story had great potential but along the way just became meh.... great concept dropped the ball seems to struggle with actual female emotion or empathy.......
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5One of the weirdest and craziest books ever but a very good story
